Easyfile 2008.01 Known issues ----------------------------- - Occassionally during initial setup the download of database components progress window does nothing. If this happens click Cancel and Exit Easyfile. Open Internet Explorer, start Easyfile and try again. - If running Windows Firewall its is necessary (when asked) to allow easyfile to "Accept Incomming Network Connections" - It is necessary to install the software as an Administrator. - Occasionally a progress basr and error message on first running the software. Two resolutions are possible 1) It necessary for the user to have temporarily have Administrator rights when the software is first run. 2) The desktop shortcut may be replaced with a manually created shortcut to the Easyfile.exe file located in the C:\Program Files\Creative Business Systems\Easyfile2008\... folder. - Occassionally an error showing "Invalid Argument" is shown when Checking P35 data and finding an error on a P14. This prevents the display of a more helpful message indicating which P14 has problems. A patch is available for this - contact support@cbiz.co.uk Easyfile 2008.01 Known issues Windows VISTA ------------------------------------------- - Easyfile is new to Windows VISTA and has some known problems that cause the program to crash under some circumstances. - Easyfile dows not support the VISTA colour scheme "Windows Aero". If you want to use Easyfile on VISTA you must select "Windows Vista Basic" as the colour scheme. - When installing on Windows VISTA, at the start of installation, the user is asked to run a "NNNNNNN.msi" where NNNNNNN can be any number (it is shown as published by Creative Business Systems Ltd. and is OK to run). "Allow" to run. - When installing on Windows VISTA, at the end of installation, the user is asked to allow "dasetup.exe" to run (this is a part of Microsoft's MDAC 2.7 database componenents and is OK to run).
