November 2009 – The feature enhancements documents for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 describe the enhancements to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2.60 through 4.0 that are included in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009.

The feature enhancements are categorized by granule ID. This will show the new features added to granules customers have already purchased and aid customers and partners in the upgrade process to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009.

October 2009 – The VAT 2010 white paper for Dynamics NAV has been published on PartnerSource and CustomerSource. This document covers how the new legislation will affect each EU country and the changes which will be made to functionality and reporting in Dynamics NAV. Microsoft will continue to post additional information over the coming weeks regarding exact release dates of software to support these changes.

October 2009 – The support currently provided by Microsoft for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 will stop on the 12th January 2010. Access to previously released fixes and service packs etc will still be retrievable, as well as the use of Microsoft Knowledgebase full of articles and solutions to previous issues.

Our customers however will still receive full support of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 and previous versions.

October 2009 – Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 which was released less than a year ago has gone through some changes to improve the way users work. Time can be saved across the organisation due to the improvements made to the data entry, for example the ability to make calculations in fields inspired by Microsoft Excel. The creation of a search box with similar functionality as the search boxes on Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook allows for enhanced search and filtering ability. Microsoft has also made changes to assist the navigation of the Role Tailored Client by adapting the short cut keys improving the usability of the Tailored Client.

August 2009 – Spindle Professional 2009 has been designed to create a streamlined document distribution practice for any type of business. This system can be integrated into your current system or alongside the Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution. It reduces costs by allowing documents like invoices, letters and statements to be delivered via email and fax.

With the use of the page sorting functionality, emails and postage mail can be sent with a variety of documents reducing the amount of work and mail sent to the customer. The system is flexible so pre-printed stationery is no longer needed as logos, addresses, and even promotional messages can be automatically added. Spindles archiving functionality allows documentation to be saved as Adobe PDF files.

New version of Easyfile for 2009

March 2009 – Online filing made easy, send end-of-year forms P14 and P35, also in year starters and leavers forms P45 Part 1, P45 Part3 and P46 to HMRC. It works with your existing payroll, or standalone, handles any number of employees. Also collects important messages and responses and keeps safe copies of all documents.

Update for 2009 includes stationary and printing for the new A4 based P45 employee documents.
